  1. Lines and fittings (suspension)

NHTSA 98V255000 Reported 95,013 vehicles potentially affected VOLVO TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA INC

Vehicle description: class 8 heavy duty trucks. The air suspension control valve supply line was not plumbed through an air pressure protection valve. In the event of a failure, there would be loss of air pressure in the 'b' system air reservoir that supplies air pressure for the front steer axle brakes.

Remedy: Dealers will install the necessary air pressure protection valve.

    Model years: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990

  2. Air (parking brake)

NHTSA 91V081000 Reported 53 vehicles potentially affected VOLVO GM HEAVY TRUCK CORP

The bendix mv-2 parking control valve installed in vehicles without a desiccant style air dryer may experience a seal failure. This failure may allow the valve to move from the park position to the release position, allowing the parking brakes to release.

Remedy: Rebuild the bendix mv-2 parking control valve.

    Model years: 1988, 1989, 1990

  3. Linkages (steering)

NHTSA 89V152000 Reported 410 vehicles potentially affected VOLVO GM HEAVY TRUCK CORP

    Remedy: Replace suspect steering arms.

    Model years: 1986, 1987
