   NHTSA 98V255000 Reported October 14, 1998 95,013 vehicles potentially affected VOLVO TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA INC

   Vehicle description: class 8 heavy duty trucks. The air suspension control valve supply line was not plumbed through an air pressure protection valve. In the event of a failure, there would be loss of air pressure in the 'b' system air reservoir that supplies air pressure for the front steer axle brakes.

   Remedy: Dealers will install the necessary air pressure protection valve.

   Model years: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991

2. U-bolt, leaf spring to axle (suspension)

   NHTSA 88V068000 Reported April 20, 1988 66 vehicles potentially affected VOLVO GM HEAVY TRUCK CORP

   Incorrect bolts may have been used to attach the rear suspension to the crossmember.

   Remedy: Install correct bolts.
