-
Door (structure)
If a passenger tries to exit the lavatory compartment by pushing with his back against the lavatory window and his legs against the lavatory door, the window can separate.
Remedy: Dealers will install a rail in the lavatory compartment window so that lavatory occupants can press against the rail rather than the window, and to help the passenger to keep balance while the vehicle is moving.
-
Conventional (parking brake)
The parking brake button can be hit accidently allowing the parking brake to release.
Remedy: Dealers will install a protector over the parking brake button in order to prevent accidental release of the parking brakes.
-
Linkages (steering)
The steering arm can develop cracks caused by repetitive dry-park-steer maneuvers, particularly during brake application. Continued use can cause the steering arm to break.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the defective steering arm with a new steering arm.
No owner complaints on file

Checking a specific 1984 Prevost XL
How do I know if my 1984 Prevost XL has an open recall?
Enter your 17-character VIN above. The VIN is on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, and your registration or insurance card. The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 3 campaigns currently list the 1984 Prevost XL; your car may already have been repaired under some of them.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Prevost dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 94V168000).
What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?
A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.

Recall counts are safety campaigns that list this model year; whether a particular car was already repaired depends on its VIN. How this data is compiled.
