  1. Roof and pillars (structure)

NHTSA 94V148000 Reported 99 vehicles potentially affected HOLIDAY RAMBLER CORP.

A fuse was omitted in the solar panel circuit between the rv battery and the solar panel.

Remedy: Dealers will install an in-line 2 amp fuse within 18" of the rv battery.

  2. Hoses, lines/piping, and fittings (parking brake)

NHTSA 94V047000 Reported 72 vehicles potentially affected HOLIDAY RAMBLER CORP.

High temperatures produced by the generator exhaust pipe can result in heat distortion and subsequent rupture of the air lines. A rupture would cause a malfunction of the instrument panel air pressure gauges and/or engagement of the manual parking/emergency brake.

  3. Steering wheel/handle bar (steering)

NHTSA 94V019000 Reported 102 vehicles potentially affected HOLIDAY RAMBLER CORP.

Improper torque of the retaining bolts and nuts of the steering column slip shaft, which provides the connecting link between the upper steering column and the steering gear box, may cause the steering column slip shaft to separate at either the upper or lower connection of the shaft.

Remedy: Inspect and retorque the slip shaft retaining bolts and nuts. However, if, after the inspection, the bolts and nuts are found to be loose or overtorqued, new bolts and nuts will be installed and properly torqued.

Checking a specific 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial

How do I know if my 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial has an open recall?

Enter your 17-character VIN above. The VIN is on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, and your registration or insurance card. The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 3 campaigns currently list the 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial; your car may already have been repaired under some of them.

Is the recall repair free?

Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Holiday Rambler dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 94V019000).

What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?

A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.
