Seats
The driver and passenger front outboard occupant seat have been designed with the safety belt anchorage on the seat structure. It is possible, in a vehicle crash, that the seat structure would fail to withstand the forces within the limits set forth in FMVSS 207 and FMVSS 210.
Remedy: Relocate the seat belt anchorage assemblies from the seat pedestal assembly to the vehicle frame through the floor structure to reduce the load on the seat pedestal assembly in the event of a sudden stop or accident.
-
Hoses, lines/piping, and fittings (service brakes)
Close proximity of certain hoses to high heat emitted from the catalytic converter would cause the hose to deteriorate.
Remedy: Install a heat shield over the catalytic converter to protect the hoses from heat deterioration.
-
Lines and fittings (equipment)
Rubber gasoline hose used to accommodate relocation of the fuel tank is subject to deterioration over time.
Remedy: Replace rubber gasoline line with nylon line.
-
Lines and fittings (equipment)
Leak in lp gas service line caused by line contacting rear suspension system which results in line rupture.
Remedy: The lp gas service line will be relocated to preclude contact with the rear suspension system.

Checking a specific 1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite
How do I know if my 1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite has an open recall?
Enter your 17-character VIN above. The VIN is on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, and your registration or insurance card. The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 4 campaigns currently list the 1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite; your car may already have been repaired under some of them.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Holiday Rambler dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 88V152000).
What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?
A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.
