  1. Recreational vehicle/trailer (equipment)

    NHTSA 07V443000 Reported 97 vehicles potentially affected COUNTRY COACH INC

    On certain motor homes equipped with atwood sealed burner ranges, the range and slide-in burner tubes leading from the gas manifold to the burner heads had a depression or 'kink' in the exterior bend restricting proper airflow and gas mixture.

    Remedy: Country coach is working with atwood to have the tubes replaced on these ranges. The recall began on may 3, 2007. Owners may contact atwood at 1-800-348-7418 or country coach at 1-800-547-8015.

  2. Diesel (engine and engine cooling)

    NHTSA 07V239000 Reported 86 vehicles potentially affected COUNTRY COACH INC

    On certain motor homes built with cummins isl cm850 diesel engines, the connecting rod contains a machining defect in the wrist pin bushing of the rod that could cause a seizure of the piston pin.

    Remedy: Country coach is working with cummins to recalibrate the engine control module and enhance the engine protection system enabling it to provide early detection of the failure mode and avoid more serious engine damage…

    Certain motor homes fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS) no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." these motor homes were equipped with more than three amber identification lamps located at the top and front of the vehicle.
