  1. Seats

NHTSA 92V183000 Reported 10,350 vehicles potentially affected HOLIDAY RAMBLER CORP.

The driver and passenger front outboard occupant seat have been designed with the safety belt anchorage on the seat structure. It is possible, in a vehicle crash, that the seat structure would fail to withstand the forces within the limits set forth in FMVSS 207 and FMVSS 210.

Remedy: Relocate the seat belt anchorage assemblies from the seat pedestal assembly to the vehicle frame through the floor structure to reduce the load on the seat pedestal assembly in the event of a sudden stop or accident.

  2. Cooling unit and lines (power train)

NHTSA 91V175000 Reported 62 vehicles potentially affected GILLIG CORPORATION

Inconsistent aeroquip hose tightening procedures and supplier's assembly inconsistencies can cause leaks of hydraulic fluid.

Remedy: Steam clean the engine compartment, run the system to detect leaks, re-torque any leaking connections to specifications, and replace fittings/hoses that cannot be made leak free.

  3. Cooling unit and lines (power train)

NHTSA 91V179000 Reported 62 vehicles potentially affected GILLIG CORPORATION

A hydraulic leak may develop in the webster cooling fan.

Remedy: Steam clean the engine compartment, run the system to detect leaks, and replace any leaking webster cooling fan.

  4. Cooling unit and lines (power train)

NHTSA 91V180000 Reported 62 vehicles potentially affected GILLIG CORPORATION

A hydraulic fluid leak may develop in the webster hydraulic pump.

Remedy: Steam clean the engine compartment, run the system to detect leaks, and replace any leaking webster hydraulic pump.

  5. Unknown or other

NHTSA 90V195000 Reported 134 vehicles potentially affected HOLIDAY RAMBLER CORP.

Turbulence caused by aerodynamic qualites of the motorhomes at highway speed can cause the awning to unroll and break free from its mounting securement.

Checking a specific 1990 Holiday Rambler Limited

How do I know if my 1990 Holiday Rambler Limited has an open recall?

Enter your 17-character VIN above. The VIN is on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, and your registration or insurance card. The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 5 campaigns currently list the 1990 Holiday Rambler Limited; your car may already have been repaired under some of them.

Is the recall repair free?

Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Holiday Rambler dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 90V195000).

What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?

A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.

Recall counts are safety campaigns that list this model year; whether a particular car was already repaired depends on its VIN. How this data is compiled.
