-
Integrated jack/leveler/stabilizer (equipment)
The leveling jack hydraulic hose lines are routed close to the engine exhaust manifold. This can cause the hose to melt and result in a hydraulic fluid leak onto the exhaust manifold.
Remedy: Dealers will replace and relocate the affected hydraulic line.
-
Hoses, lines/piping, and fittings (fuel system)
The liquid propane gas (lpg) pipes at the rear of the vehicle are routed so they contact the tag axle during vertical movement. This contact can rupture the lpg pipe and allow lpg leakage.
Remedy: Dealers will install a section of copper tubing in the rear of the vehicle to replace iron piping in an area out of the scope of the axle swing area.
-
Vehicle speed control
While operating the engine in reverse gear, engine torque causes the engine to roll, causing the throttle modulator cable assembly to contact the floor and bind the throttle cable holding the throttle in an open position.
Remedy: Relocation of raised floor support hardware on the box portion of the motorhome.

Checking a specific 1993 Fleetwood Bounder
How do I know if my 1993 Fleetwood Bounder has an open recall?
Enter your 17-character VIN above. The VIN is on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, and your registration or insurance card. The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 3 campaigns currently list the 1993 Fleetwood Bounder; your car may already have been repaired under some of them.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Fleetwood dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 93V076000).
What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?
A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.
