  1. Linkages (steering)

NHTSA 90V103000 Reported 74 vehicles potentially affected GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

Improper drilling of hole tapers in the steering arm and pitman arm may cause inadequate seating of the drag link ball stud on either the pitman arm or the steering arm and tie rod end on the steering attachments.

Remedy: Replace defective components with new assemblies and torque to proper specifications.

    Model years: 1988, 1989, 1990

  2. Master cylinder (service brakes)

NHTSA 84V068000 Reported 32,010 vehicles potentially affected GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

Unwanted air is being drawn into the brake system when brake pedal is released. This is due to the use of the bendix master cylinder in combination with the bendix hydrovac.

Remedy: Dealer will check to see if vehicle is equipped with a bendix master cylinder. If so, dealer will install a tube and hose assembly and repair brake system. If needed, a new wagner master cylinder will be installed.
