Defect
Under certain conditions, mechanical fuel pumps may develop fuel leakage at crimped seam between the two fuel pump halves.
Safety risk
Fuel leakage in the engine compartment creates apossibility of a fire.
Remedy
Install an improved fuel pump assembly.
