    Nabi is recalling 579 my 2005-2007 60brt model year 2007 65brt and my 2003-2004 60lfw transit buses. These buses may contain a defective welded crossmember assembly in the understructure.   2. Hydraulic power assist system (steering)

    NHTSA 05V088000 Reported 3,680 vehicles potentially affected NORTH AMERICAN BUS INDUSTRIES, INC.

    On certain transit buses, the front axle stops and the power steering gear hydraulic limit valves were found to be out of adjustment. The drag link may experience permanent deformation due to the steering load.

  3. Power steering fluid (steering)

    NHTSA 04V474000 Reported 690 vehicles potentially affected NORTH AMERICAN BUS INDUSTRIES, INC.

    On certain 40' and 60' transit buses, the hydraulic system that provides power to the radiator cooling fan and power steering system is subject to becoming unstable.

  4. Structure

    NHTSA 04V366000 Reported 153 vehicles potentially affected NORTH AMERICAN BUS INDUSTRIES, INC.

    Certain transit buses fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 217, "bus emergency exits and window retention and release." there is interference between the side destination sign and the window frame that will not allow the window to open sufficiently.

    Remedy: Nabi will inspect and relocate the side destination sign to eliminate this interference. The recall began august 27, 2004. Owners may contact nabi at 1-888-424-5844, ext. 7900.
