    NHTSA 99V298000 Reported 41 vehicles potentially affected MID BUS INCORPORATED

    Vehicle description: school buses built on chevrolet cutaway chassis have their rear emergency egress zone partially blocked by passenger seats. This does not meet the requirements of FMVSS no. 217, "bus window retention and release."

    Remedy: Owners will be provided with new seats and installation instructions.
