  3. Suspension: lower ball joint

NHTSA 99V069000 Reported 124,875 vehicles potentially affected AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the front suspension lower ball joints.

    Model years: 1996, 1997, 1998

    Model years: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991

  5. Fuel system, gasoline

NHTSA 92V028001 Reported 920,583 vehicles potentially affected AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.

If the plastic coating of the fuel filler and/or breather pipe is damaged, salt water may accumulate between the plastic coating and the steel pipes, and the accumulation could cause corrosion which would eventually rust through the affected pipes, allowing gasoline fumes and fuel to leak.

Remedy: Repairs will be made to vehicles with corroded filler or breather pipes.

    Model years: 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987

  6. Accelerator pedal (vehicle speed control)

  8. Hose, piping, and connections (steering)

NHTSA 88V059000 Reported 66,239 vehicles potentially affected AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.

Remedy: The spring supports and shocks will be inspected; depending on condition, the components will be rustproofed or replaced, if necessary.

    Model years: 1980, 1981

  12. Suspension

Remedy: Vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, treated with a rust preventive coating. In some cases, replacement of components will be performed, without charge to owner.
