  1. Gear box (other than rack and pinion) (steering)

NHTSA 87V003000 Reported 250 vehicles potentially affected GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

Lower steering shaft, which passes through a cutout in the front bulkhead, may contact a bulkhead bracket.

Remedy: Reduce width of bracket, creating sufficient clearance to prevent contact.

    Model years: 1987

  2. Seat belts: front

NHTSA 79V252000 Reported 187 vehicles potentially affected GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

The involved vehicles were manufactured with a seat belt assembly of the incorrect length. As a result, they do not conform with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 209, "seat belt assemblies". A longer belt assembly is required to fit some adult males in all seat adjustment positions.

Remedy: The dealer will replace the existing seat belt assembly with a longer seat belt without charge to owner.

    Model years: 1978

Recall counts are safety campaigns that list this model year; whether a particular car was already repaired depends on its VIN. How this data is compiled.
