   NHTSA 98V299000 Reported November 24, 1998 29 vehicles potentially affected GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

   Vehicle description: school bus chassis. The instrument panel wiring harness can contact the brake pedal mounting bracket. Over time, the harness would abrade on the bracket resulting in electrical shorting.

   Remedy: Dealers will reroute the wiring harness and repair any wires that have been abraded.
