    NHTSA 97V124000 Reported 2,500 vehicles potentially affected FORD MOTOR COMPANY

    Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks, bus chassis-cowl, and basic chassis models equipped with cummins 5.9l 160 horsepower rotary injection pump diesel engines. The accelerator return springs can fracture.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace these springs with a torsion spring design.
