  1. Tank assembly (fuel system)

    NHTSA 94V154000 Reported 3,200 vehicles potentially affected FORD MOTOR COMPANY

    The labels reminding operators closing the fuel tank crossover valves to reopen the valves before operating the engines were omitted. If the tanks are over half full and vehicle operation was resumed without reopening the fuel tank cross-over valves, pressure could build in one of the tanks.

    Remedy: Owners will be mailed a pair of labels and installation instructions. If the owner prefers, a dealer can install the labels.

  2. Fan (engine and engine cooling)

    The engine cooling fan blades may crack and chip due to high stresses caused by vibrations. The chipped pieces of the blade could fly into the underhood components. Also, these pieces could fly out from the vehicle if the hood is open and the engine is running.

    Remedy: The dealer will replace the existing fan blade assembly with one of another design at no cost to owner.

    Remedy: Dealer will replace any seat belt assembly that is determined to be insufficient, without charge to owner.
