    Misalignment between the steering column assembly and the gear box.

    Remedy: Requires removing old steering column and replacing with new designed column.

  2. Solenoid (electrical system)

    NHTSA 84V069000 Reported 227 vehicles potentially affected GRUMMAN FLXIBLE CORP.

    The air starter control valve is equipped with a manual override push-button which bypasses the normal neutral safety interlock and is not in compliance with federal motor vehicle safety standard 102, "transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect".

    Remedy: Air starter control valve will be removed if it is equipped with a manual override push-button feature and will be replaced with one that does not contain this feature.

  3. Steering wheel/handle bar (steering)

    NHTSA 84V010000 Reported 5,222 vehicles potentially affected GRUMMAN FLXIBLE CORP.

    Some buses may have misalignment of the steering column assembly and the gear box.

    Remedy: Replacement of the lower jacket tube bearing, steering mounting bracket, and possibly the wheel tube.
