Elgin is recalling 49 my 2007-2008 whirlwind street sweepers with tier iii john deere auxiliary engines. The auxiliary engine radiator fan is mounted to the crankshaft of the engine. Under heavy operating conditions and high auxiliary engine speeds, the radiator fan blades can separate from the fan hub. If this condition occurs, fan…
Remedy: Dealers will install a new radiator fan that has thicker fan blades and a non-segmented fan base will be installed free of charge. The recall began on august 25, 2008. Owners may contact elgin at 1-877-342-5374.
