Elgin is recalling 49 my 2007-2008 whirlwind street sweepers with tier iii john deere auxiliary engines. The auxiliary engine radiator fan is mounted to the crankshaft of the engine. Remedy: Dealers will install a new radiator fan that has thicker fan blades and a non-segmented fan base will be installed free of charge. The recall began on august 25, 2008. Owners may contact elgin at 1-877-342-5374.
