  1. Parking brake

NHTSA 89V038000 Reported 1,550 vehicles potentially affected SHELBY AUTOMOBILES, INC.

Parking brake mechanism component may disengage.

    Remedy: Replace parking brake assembly.

    Model years: 1987

  2. Fuel system, gasoline

NHTSA 88V105000 Reported 580,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Fuel leakage may occur in low ambient temperature operation at connections of an engine compartment fuel supply hose to the pressure regulator and to the fuel rail.

Remedy: Relocate pressure regulator; replace fuel supply with formed hose with revised routing configuration to ensure sealing integrity.

    Model years: 1985, 1986, 1987

  3. Hoses, lines/piping, and fittings (fuel system)

NHTSA 85V010000 Reported 53,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

An engine compartment fuel hose routed to the fuel system pressure regulator may have an inadequately tightened hose clamp. Consequence of defect: the fuel hose could leak and result in an engine compartment fire.

Remedy: Reposition and tighten to the proper torque level of the fuel hose clamp.

    Model years: 1985

  4. Accelerator pedal (vehicle speed control)

NHTSA 83V035000 Reported 339 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Throttle may not return to idle because of interference between the accelerator pedal and the floor carpet. The accelerator pedal rod extends below the base of the foot pad and contacts the floor carpeting when pedal is pushed all the way down.

Remedy: The dealer will remove excess rod material extending below the foot pad and any sharp rod end edges will be smoothed.

    Model years: 1983

Recall counts are safety campaigns that list this model year; whether a particular car was already repaired depends on its VIN. How this data is compiled.
