    Model years: 1992

  3. Pads (service brakes)

NHTSA 92V017000 Reported 41,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

The bonded disc brake linings may separate from the shoes due to a bonding deficiency which may allow corrosion degradation of the bond attachment.

Remedy: Replace the front and rear linings on vehicles with 15 inch brakes. Replace only the rear brake linings on vehicles with 14 inch brakes because the front linings on these vehicles are riveted.

    Model years: 1989

  4. Door (structure)

The owner's manual incorrectly states that the front passenger door cannot be opened from the inside if the door is locked until the lock control handle has been pulled up. On these vehicles, the front passenger door can be opened by the inside door handle even if the door is locked.

Remedy: Notify the vehicle owners of the error in the owner's manual and inform them of the actual operation of the front door lock system.

    Model years: 1991

  5. Linkage and cable (parking brake)

NHTSA 91V078000 Reported 90 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Mismatched parking brake cable lengths to the rear wheels reduces braking ability of one of the rear wheels, in violation of FMVSS 105.

Remedy: Replace mismatched parking brake cable with one of correct length.

    Model years: 1991

  6. Caliper (service brakes)

NHTSA 90V162000 Reported 18,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

    Model years: 1991

  8. Air bags: sensor/control module-inactive

NHTSA 90V080000 Reported 257 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Remedy: Replace air bag inflator modules with properly machined modules.

    Model years: 1990

  9. Engine (engine and engine cooling)

NHTSA 89V237000 Reported 634,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Remedy: Replace gasket cover with revised cover, and rtv sealant will be applied in place of a gasket.

    Model years: 1989, 1990

  10. Seats

NHTSA 89V011000 Reported 60,000 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Remedy: Relocate pressure regulator; replace fuel supply with formed hose with revised routing configuration to ensure sealing integrity.

    Model years: 1985, 1986, 1987

  12. 12v/24v/48v battery (electrical system)

NHTSA 86V053000 Reported 32,149 vehicles potentially affected CHRYSLER CORPORATION

Battery cap vents may be partially or completely blocked with plastic flashing. Consequence of defect: a build up of internal gas pressure could occur which could result in case rupture, particularly during post charging. Should a person be in the vicinity of the battery when the case ruptures, they may be injured by the released gases…

Remedy: Rework batteries by probing both vent orifices to eliminate any vent obstruction.
