  1. Master cylinder (service brakes)

    NHTSA 04V304000 Reported 181 vehicles potentially affected BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE

    On certain motorcycles, an incorrect sealing ring was mounted to the piston of the rear brake master cylinder.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear brake master cylinder. The recall began july 16, 2004. Owners should contact BMW at 1-800-831-1117.
