    NHTSA 14V644000 Reported 28 vehicles potentially affected Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA

    Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. (Yamaha) is recalling certain model year 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycles manufactured August 1, 2014, to September 1, 2014. The front and rear wheels of the affected motorcycles may have been manufactured with insufficient hardness.

    Remedy: Yamaha has notified owners, and dealers will replace the front and rear wheel and tire assemblies, free of charge. The recall began on October 30, 2014. Owners may contact Yamaha customer service at 1-800-962-7926.…

    NHTSA 06V442000 Reported 13,000 vehicles potentially affected YAMAHA MOTOR CORPORATION, USA

    On certain motorcycles, the air filter mounting screws may come loose and fall out.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the air filter element with a new one that is designed to hold the screws securely free of charge. The recall began on november 29, 2006. Owners may contact yamaha at 714-761-7842.

    NHTSA 00V076000 Reported 17,146 vehicles potentially affected YAMAHA MOTOR CORPORATION, USA

    Vehicle description: motorcycles. The screws holding the sidestand switch can loosen and fall out due to engine heat and vibration. If this happens, the sidestand switch would not function correctly, so it would be possible to ride the motorcycle with the sidestand in the down position.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the screws holding the sidestand switch.
