   NHTSA 80V058000 Reported May 13, 1980 17,500 vehicles potentially affected YAMAHA INTERNATIONAL CORP

   The swing arm supporting the rear wheel of the motorcycle could bend or fracture under extraordin ary braking conditions or abuse.

   Remedy: Dealer will replace the original swing arm with an arm not subject to this defect.
