Tank assembly (fuel system)
The fuel pump mounting plate does not fully seal the fuel tank allowing fuel leakage onto the engine.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the original rubber seal with a revised seal that has metal inserts so the plate cannot be overtorqued and to more evenly spread the load across the face of the seal.
