    NHTSA 98V029000 Reported 276 vehicles potentially affected SOUTHERN COMFORT CONVERSIONS

    Vehicle description: chevrolet and GMC conversion vans equipped with twin air "ultra" rear heating and air conditioning units and converted by southern comfort conversions. The heater and air conditioning units contain a resistor coil that can overheat when the fan is running at a low speed.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the resistor coil in these units.
