Defect

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system sensors may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Safety risk

A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the tire pressure sensors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 27, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 51D.
