Defect
Drv is recalling certain model year 2011 select, mobile and elite suite 5th wheel recreational vehicles equipped with itc 2 wire dimmer switches. The dimmer circuit board overheats during use causing the circuit board and dimmer housing to melt and deform. As the dimmer switch fails, the lights may become inoperable or not work correctly and there may be a noticeable smoke or burning smell.
Safety risk
The failure of the dimmer switch will cause the lights to stop dimming and/or working. An overheated switch can also lead to personal injury and/or fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the dimmer switches free of charge. The safety recall began on may 3, 2011. Owners may contact drv at 1-574-457-6472.
