Defect
Startrans is recalling certain model year 2006 through 2009 transit buses manufactured between august 9, 2006 and june 25, 2009, equipped with trans/air air conditioning systems. Each trans/air system comes with an electrical kit and ec pc board which if improperly installed could overheat.
Safety risk
Overheating of the pc board could result in a fire.
Remedy
Startrans will notify owners and the buses will be repaired by either startrans or trans/air free of charge. Please see trans/air's defect report 09e-042. The safety recall began on november 4, 2009.
