Defect

On certain motorcycles, the lower fork yoke could fail. A crack can form around the lower fork bearing.

Safety risk

If the vehicle is driven under such a condition, and the crack compromises the integrity of the front suspension, there is the possibility of a loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the lower fork component if necessary. The recall began on september 17, 2007. Owners may contact piaggio/moto guzzi at 1-212-380-4400.
