Safety risk

If a leak were to occur, oil could come into contact with the rear brake disc, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will install a new o-ring in the final-drive assembly. The recall began on october 27, 2006. Owners may contact BMW at 1-800-831-1117.
