Defect
On certain class b motor homes built on chevrolet chassis, when the rear axle lift kit was installed, the u-bolt nuts were not tightened properly.
Safety risk
A loose rear axle can create a sluggish driving feeling, rear bouncing and loud banging noise, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and retighten the u-bolts freee of charge. The recall began on march 30, 2006. Owners may contact roadtrek at 888-762-3873.
