Defect

On certain scooters with engine number (sf10k & sh10b) and embossed casting number (keb7-1), the engine mount can break.

Safety risk

If this breakage occurs, it could cause a rear suspension failure, which could result in a crash.

Remedy

Kymco will replace the entire engine. This recall began on july 22, 2004. Owners should contact kymco USA customer service toll free at 1-888-235-3417.
