Defect

On certain 2-door passenger vehicles, the fuel return line hose fitting on the electric fuel pump may be improperly molded.

Safety risk

Breakage could result in a leakage of fuel and in the presence of an ignition source, it could result a fire.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the fuel pump. The recall will begin on august 9, 2004. Owners should contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
