Defect
On certain motorcycles, the side stand legs have the potential to bend or break.
Safety risk
This could cause the motorcycle to fall increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the side stand. Owner notification began october 16, 2002. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact buell at 1-414-342-4680.
