Defect
Vehicle description: rv chassis. The valve stem on the rear inner tire could rub against the wheel and develop a leak.
Safety risk
A loss of air on the inner tire could overload the outer tire if undetected, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will install a valve stem extension stabilizer.
Notes
Owner notification began april 3, 2001. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.
