Defect
Vehicle description: motorcycles. The front brake pad material could separate from the backing plate due to insufficient adhesion.
Safety risk
If pad separation occurs, there could be a loss of braking ability with the front brake.
Remedy
Dealers will install new front brake pads.

Owner notification began march 13, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact yamaha at 1-800-962-7926.
