    The plastic cowl cover was not sealed to the body at the base of the windshield. Water can leak and reach the windshield wiper motor, causing internal corrosion and failure of the wiper motor.

    Remedy: Dealers will install a new wiper motor cover.

    Remedy: Install a bolt and washer on the rear engine compartment cover to prevent slipping and to insure the necessary clearance between the safety clip and the cover.

  3. Rack (steering)

    One or more of the bolts mounting the steering rack to the chassis of the vehicle may have been stretched, due to over torquing in the manufacturing process, causing some of the bolts to loosen.

    Remedy: Replace the steering rack bolts with bolts of a higher strength; replace the steering rack if it is damaged.
