    Routing of the wiring harness to the steering wheel controls may permit chafing between the steering column lock disc and the convoluted tubing which houses the electrical harness.

    Remedy: Clamp the wiring harness away from moving parts of the steering column. Replace the fusible link in the circuit with an appropriate amperage load capacity fusible link.
