    NHTSA 91V088000 Reported 3,835 vehicles potentially affected NAVISTAR INTL CORP.

    Steering gears have no end-of-travel stops. Extreme left and right turns place added loads on the axle steering arm which can cause the arm to loosen and shear mounting studs.

    Remedy: Install steering arm stop and new studs.
