    NHTSA 24V296000 Reported 381 vehicles potentially affected Bucher Municipal North America

    Bucher Municipal North America (Bucher) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Johnston VT651, VT652, VS651, VS652, VT801, VS802, and Bucher V65t vehicles. The pin securing the hydraulic rear door cylinder can corrode and break, causing the rear door to fall.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace hydraulic rear door cylinder pin, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 25, 2024. Owners may contact Bucher customer service at 1-704-658-1333.

    NHTSA 16V757000 Reported 214 vehicles potentially affected Johnston North America

    Johnston North America (Johnston) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 VT651 and VT801 street sweepers manufactured May 1, 2013, to October 13, 2016. The affected street sweepers have tipping hinges that may crack, allowing the hopper to detach from the chassis.

    Remedy: Johnston will notify owners, and dealers will install a reaction beam to increase the torsional stiffness of the body and stabilize the tipping pivot brackets, free of charge. The recall began on November 4, 2016.…
