Cables (vehicle speed control)
With use, accelerator cable can become frayed and bind or break in its housing, wihtout prior warning.
Remedy: Replace original style accelerator cable with cable designed to prevent fraying.

Air (parking brake)
Two screws that hold detent rail to valve body can loosen and back out. Also, valve body can break at point where detent rail attaching screws are threaded into body.
Remedy: Replace suspect valve with improved valve.
