    NHTSA 94V010000 Reported 790 vehicles potentially affected FREIGHTLINER CORPORATION

    Contact may occur between the windshield wiper motor and a huck bolt collar which causes a gear within the motor to fracture resulting in complete failure of the windshield wiper system.

    Remedy: Dealers will remove and replace the windshield wiper motor and remove the huck bolt and replace it with a pull-type rivet.

  2. Hydraulic power assist system (steering)

    NHTSA 93V140000 Reported 336 vehicles potentially affected FREIGHTLINER CORP.

    Power steering hose assemblies were built with incorrect end fittings. These end fittings were rated at 1250 PSI working pressure and the correct end fittings are rated at 2000 PSI.

    Remedy: Remove and replace the power steering pressure line between the power steering pump and the steering gear box.
