-
Chamber (service brakes)
Vehicle description: boat trailers equipped with brake solenoids manufactured by kodiak/ims. As a result of a defective solenoid valve, the brakes may not actuate properly, resulting in the brakes locking up on trailers hauling boats.
Remedy: Dealers will replace these solenoid valves.
-
Arm (steering)
Vehicle description: boat trailers. The spindle is welded to the brake flange, which is welded to the axle assembly. If the weld is not deep enough, the weld could fail.
Remedy: Dealers will re-weld the trailers or, if necessary, replace the axles if re-welding is not feasible.
