The aluminum fuel line fittings on certain fuel injection lines corrode, causing the fuel line fittings to break.

Remedy: Replace the fuel lines with modified lines constructed with a corrosion resistant coating to prevent fuel line surface corrosion.

    Model years: 1989, 1990

  2. Steering wheel/handle bar (steering)

NHTSA 92V072000 Reported 645 vehicles potentially affected FERRARI NORTH AMERICA

  3. Hoses/lines/piping/fittings (engine and engine cooling)

NHTSA 86V161000 Reported 550 vehicles potentially affected FERRARI NORTH AMERICA

The flexible oil hoses for the engine oil radiator could leak engine oil due to insufficient clamping of the metal connectors to flexible portion of oil hose. Consequence of defect: lack of lubrication could cause severe engine damage; oil leakage could result in an engine fire.

Remedy: Replace lower and upper hoses connecting engine oil radiator with improved hoses. Also, update oil pressure regulating valve assembly.

    Model years: 1986

  4. Multiple axle (suspension)

NHTSA 86V078000 Reported 422 vehicles potentially affected FERRARI NORTH AMERICA

Under certain specific load conditions, such as accidental high speed impacts on the rear suspension system, the rear wheel bearings and hub assemblies could deteriorate. Consequence of defect: prolonged use of deteriorated wheel bearings and hub assemblies results in rear end noise and vibration. This could ultimatly cause impaired…

Remedy: Replace both right and left rear hub/hub carrier assemblies.

    Model years: 1983, 1984, 1985
