    NHTSA 93V168000 Reported 1,089 vehicles potentially affected EXPLORER VAN COMPANY

    With the driver seat in the forward most position, the safety belt is excessively tight for persons whose dimensions are those of a 95th percentile male, resulting in non-compliance with FMVSS no. 208, "occupant crash protection."

    Remedy: The factory safety belt buckle assembly will be replaced using a substitute buckle assembly which has the capability of being extended to achieve the proper fit for 95th percentile males.
