    NHTSA 92V130000 Reported 591 vehicles potentially affected CHANCE COACH, INC.

    The jam-nuts for the right and left hand tie rods in the drag link were not properly torqued after installation.

    Remedy: Tighten the jam-nuts to the proper torque, and install a new instruction decal on the chassis frame next to the drag link with the correct torque values for the jam nuts.

    Battery cables and wire looms can rub against front roadside mud flap bracket, and/or one of the battery cable clamp bolts.

    Remedy: Modify mud flap bracket and/or cable clamp bolt to avoid interference with battery cables.

    Insulation on a battery cable can chafe, shorting the conductor to ground.

    Remedy: Repair or replace conductor.

    Steering drag links are 1/2 inch too long and could contact the front axle.

    Remedy: Replace drag link tube with one that is 1/2 inch shorter to eliminate interference.
