Body (structure)
Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2012-2013 converter dolly trailers. The affected trailers have fasteners connecting the counter weight tube to the body that may wear and/or loosen over time allowing the detachment of the counterweight tube from the converter dolly body while in motion.
Remedy: Wabash will notify owners, and dealers will weld the counter weight permanently to the structure, free of charge. The recall began on October 12, 2017. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404.
No owner complaints on file
NHTSA has no owner complaints on file for the 2012 Wabash Converter Dolly. For context, the average model year in NHTSA's database has dozens; a zero can mean a reliable vehicle, a rare one, or both.

Checking a specific 2012 Wabash Converter Dolly
How do I know if my 2012 Wabash Converter Dolly has an open recall?

The check runs against NHTSA's live database and tells you which campaigns list your vehicle. 1 campaign currently lists the 2012 Wabash Converter Dolly; your car may already have been repaired under it.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Under federal law, manufacturers must fix safety recalls at no charge for vehicles up to 15 years old from the date of sale to the first owner. Contact any authorised Wabash dealer with your VIN and the NHTSA campaign number (for example 17V603000).
What is the difference between a recall and a complaint?
A recall is a safety campaign filed by the manufacturer or ordered by NHTSA, with a defined defect and remedy. A complaint is a report an owner sent to NHTSA; it is not verified, but patterns of complaints are what trigger NHTSA investigations and, eventually, recalls.
