    NHTSA 14V813000 Reported 6 vehicles potentially affected Elgin Sweeper Company Inc.

    Elgin Sweeper Company Inc. (Elgin) is recalling certain model year 2014 Elgin Eagle 4MF, and Road Wizard 4MW street sweepers manufactured October 3, 2014, to November 26, 2014. Due to the routing, the battery and the alternator wires may conduct higher current than designed, resulting in wire failure and charging system loss.

    Remedy: Elgin has notified owners, and dealers will replace and reroute the affected wiring, free of charge. The recall began on December 30, 2014. Owners may contact Elgin customer service at 1-877-342-5374. Elgin's number…
